Volunteer
The Kansas City Bicycle Club needs your participation as a volunteer for 2008 events. What’s the best way to meet other people who like to ride bicycles and exercise? The answer is to volunteer for a KCBC event.
KCBC is ran entirely by volunteers and we need volunteers for 2008 events. Could be a wonderful opportunity for non-biking family members and friends to learn more about the biking community in the KC area. You do not need to be a KCBC member to volunteer.
There are many other great reasons: free food, a free shirt, and a chance to win a $25 Plaza gift certificate. The more times you volunteer. The more chances you have to win the gift certificates that we hand out at the club banquet.
Here are the dates we need volunteers. Listings in red are events that we have a critical need for volunteers.
April 6 - Brew to Brew; KCTC event- staff relay exchange station in Johnson County, KS.
April 19 - Spring Classic; JCBC event- Johnson County, KS.
June 1 - Lone Star Ride; JCBC event - Johnson County, KS.
June 22 - Fountain Tour; KCBC event - bicycle tour starting in Rivermarket.
July 6 - Northern Nightmare (formerly Northern Delight); KCBC event - bicycle tour starting in Liberty, MO.
August 3 - Cider Mill Century; JCBC event - Johnson County, KS.
August 8,9,10 - Tour of KC - three days of bicycle race events in Kansas City, KS, Cliff Drive, & Overland PK, KS.
August 24 - Summer Breeze; KCBC event - bicycle tour from Longview Community College.
