    Good day to all.

Matthew, Mark and Michael participated in the Topeka 200k Brevet this past weekend. I know I had a blast with great company, the best weather and very nice roads.

This is what I had as far as time. If I am off Matthew or Mark will make corrections.

"Time on the bike was 6:31:?? total out time, Start to finish was 7:28:00 ,200 kilometer = 124.274 238 45 miles. A few of us set PR's today. You could not have scripted a better day in July for a little ride"

    Good day to all.
Mark Horn and Michael Ruder traveled to  Des Moines, Iowa this weekend for the Hy-Vee Triathlon. Well we also traveled with his son who was to do the kids race on Saturday, his first but the rain delayed the start then it was canceled. Very sad day.

The Sunday Olympic triathlon was to start @ 6:00am with mass starts but with threatening weather approaching the race directors changed the event to a Sprint Triathlon, 400m swim, 10k bike, 5k run. We had a Time Trial start, one person every 4 seconds. Like crazy!

    Mark Horn= M35/39 -- 29/141 -- 191/906 males Time= 1:08:51
    Michael Ruder= M45/49 -- 30/94 -- 351/906 males Time= 1:13:01

    What a weekend of racing.
David Matthews was out getting down and dirty @ Truman lake on Sunday.

Race:  Down and Dirty Cross Country Race
Location:  Truman Lake Mountain Bike Park
    Date: 6/6/10
    Category:  Marathon - Men Open
    Results: 7th out of 12

    In Davids words:
Not stellar results, but at least there was a brief showing of KCBC colors on mountain bike race circuit.  My body has been telling me that mountain biking uses different muscles than road riding.  Think it will take most of this week to recover.

Good day to all. I was reminded I had not posted results of the latest endeavor one of the Team members had completed a few weeks ago.

Our very own Mark Horn competed in the 2010 Kansas City Triathlon held on May 23rd 2010. The water was cold, a good size swell but manageable as I saw there where some fast swim times.
A bit of wind that morning I'd guess kept everyone in check.

The International distance of 1.5k swim a 20k ride and a 10k run
    Number of Finishers:426
    Number of Females:102
    Number of Males:316
    Average Time:2:55:46
    Mark placed 52nd overall
9th of 70 in age division with at time of 2:26:36

What a day for a race. I am sure we all thought we would be racing in the rain. As the day went the rain held off to overcast skies, cool breeze and great road conditions for a supper race.

In the Maters 50+ with 5 starters....
David Matthews takes 2nd place at the line as he tell the story. Sweet rewards.

    Cat 5 with 32 starters....
Mark Horn takes 14th on his inaugural road race. Great race for sure.
    Michael Ruder takes 15th
    Stephen Wilcox takes 30th
Good to be proud of the racers today as we build and learn each time we go out.
Congratulations to you all for stellar performances. Auburn-RR-Final-Results.pdf
