Sorry I lost track of my self.
What at GREAT weekend for KCBC Racing.

The team, light in attendance for the Kansas State CX Championship did not go with out reward.
Two raced and two hit the podium! KCBC Racing Rolls.

In the Men's CAT 4 event in his first year to race anything let alone Cyclocross, Tyler Steele took the 3rd step.

Tyler Steele- CAT 4- your Kansas State Cyclocross 3rd place recipient.

In the Single Speed event Mark Horn with what was described to me as on of the best battles of the year took the 2nd steep in a well fought 45 min race.

Mark Horn- SS- your Kansas State Cyclocross 2nd place recipient.

What a day of racing in Topeka, part of the Sunflower State Games with the Capital Cup CX event. This Venue is special for the Mound of Mercy and what I call "SUCK" Grass. Like quick sand, you do not know it is soft until you ride into it and then it sucks the speed and energy out of you.
I had the privilege to race today so this can really be a race report from my perspective.
We had FUN and WE raced like champions.

    CAT 4 Men
    Tyler- 3rd
    Adam- 4th

    Masters 40+ Men
    Michael-12th

    Single Speed
    Mark- 3rd

    CAT 3/4
    Dan- 8th
    Tyler- 12th

I have missed being with the team and they really showed me what they have accomplished this CX Season. KCBC Race Team is #1

If you have not been to the HPT event then next year you should go. This event is held at the Heartland Park Race track so part of the CX course is on the dirt oval track, infield and surrounding terrain. To make this even more of a change it is held at night! Over the past few years the course had been called fast like really fast. The words I heard this year is the course was slow, like a bog. Not like last year when they had a mud fest but that is a bit different.

    Men CAT 4
    Adam- 6th

    Men Single Speed
    Mark- 3rd
